Welcome to Outer Banks Surf Fishing! Outer Banks Surf Fishing is a fishing guide service providing lessons and instruction to individuals and families interested in learning the sport.

 

The Outer Banks is known for some of the best surf fishing in the world and we can show you how best to take advantage of the great fishing opportunities on the Outer Banks. Whether it be speckled trout, red drum, striped bass, or any of the many species of fish available, we are experts and will help you learn to catch fish.

 

Our guide, Captain Billy has more than than 30 years of fishing experience and has developed proven fishing methods for the Outer Banks. Captain Billy has a passion for fishing and the outdoors. Put his passion and knowledge to work for you. If you are interested in a one-on-one lesson or if you want to bring the whole group, we can accommodate your needs.

 

In two hours, you will learn the fundamentals of surf fishing. Here are some of the things you will learn:

    • How to Tie a Fisherman’s Knot
    • How to Bait a Hook
    • Casting Techniques
    • How to Set the Hook
    • How to Safely Remove a Hook
    • How to Find the Fish

    We offer lessons at your beach cottage or nearest beach access. The cost is $100 for up to three individuals or $130 for up to six Individuals (children must be 6 years of age or older). All gear and bait are included. We provide lessons from Nags Head to Corolla. We are family friendly in a relaxed, fun atmosphere.
